Teachers partner with students to design engaging routines, processes and activities making students intentional partners in the learning process.  Content and skills are clearly connected to real world applications and valued across the curriculum.  School and district-wide systems support students who need extended learning opportunities and clearly focus on the individual needs of students.  Students exhibit curiosity by engaging in questions, starting discussions, proposing solutions and sharing ideas.  Academic rigor is consistent across classrooms and accurately reflects skill levels needed to be successful for the next level of learning and life.
