Team Objectives
* Develop, implement, evaluate (using achievement data and other measures) and refine a high-quality job embedded professional development component that is directly linked to multiple measures of teacher and principal effectiveness.

* Define how a teachers career can progress and how that progression should be compensated.

*
Plan and provide for initial and ongoing training of teachers and principals on Danielson"s Framework for Teaching Standards.

* Align professional development system with the district"s continuous improvement plan and the National Staff Development Council Standards.

* Work with REA to adjust existing systems, policies, and collective bargaining agreements to accommodate new career paths and job embedded professional development.

Deliverables

September 7th, 2011 - Submit building level planning form to district
 
June 17th 2011 - Collect professional development topics from both administrative, certified, and classified staff
 
February 9, 2011 - Presentation of Draft 2011-2012 Professional Development Calendar.

Present recommendations on School Improvement Day to REA-RSD collective bargaining team.


March 2011 - Present final work on professional development to school board and community for adoption.
May/June 2011 - Develop implenetation design for School Improvement Wednesdays.
