Dear First Grade Family,
We have been learning some factual information about owls as well as reading The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark. Students painted owls with their water colors and will soon write acrostic poems using the word owls.
Open House Please visit our classroom on Tuesday evening, September 23rd, from 6-7 pm. There will also be a Scholastic Book Fair in the school library from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm on Tuesday.
Please sign up for your October conference during Open House. The schedules will be posted on the wall across from the office.
Volunteers Classroom volunteers are GREATLY APPRECIATED! Open House is a great time to sign up for a time to help in our classroom. If you are planning to volunteer at school this year, please stop by the office to fill out the necessary paper work. The paper work must be resubmitted each year.
Fall Pictures Student pictures will be taken on Tuesday, October 7th. More information will come home soon.
Homework Folders should come home today, as they will each Monday. Please make sure they are returned with the completed work by next Monday.
Students should complete and return the writing worksheet and the Home Links math pages.
Practice reading, writing, and spelling the “an” family words. There will be a test on five words from the list on Friday.
