Ridgeview High School earns first place wins at FBLA conference

Fifteen Ridgeview High School Ravens traveled to Portland, Oregon on April 6, 2017 to compete in the State Business Leadership Conference for Oregon Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

There were over 1,600 Oregon high school students competing in over 50 events. Each of the 15 Ridgeview students competed in two events.

Two Ridgeview students earned first place honors, junior Gabrielle Crouch for client services and senior Jack Lindberg for economics.

“Customer service is a very important soft skill to have, through FBLA I have gained experience not easily found in the classroom,” Crouch said.

The top four place finishers qualified to compete at nationals in Anaheim, California at the end of June.

“The skills I have gained and use in my FBLA events will serve me well into my future college and career,” Lindberg said.

Along with Lindberg and Crouch, Garrett Crouch also earned a spot at nationals placing third in word processing. In total, the Ravens had 11 top ten place finishers.
