Welcome to the 2012-13 school year. We are very excited to open our doors and welcome you as a part of the Ridgeview Family. The gifts and talents of our students combined with the dedication and passion of our teachers allows us to strive for excellence. Excellence is not the result of a good intention or clever slogan. Excellence is not a value that is easily achieved. Excellence comes from a strong, urgent desire to improve how we do things when we see something we can do better. We will work hard to ensure that Ridgeview High School will be recognized as a top performing school in academics, athletics and student activities.
Academic success is the main goal of every staff member at Ridgeview High School. We believe that every student can and should be a successful learner. We strive for opportunities to assist students to achieve at their highest level. To accomplish this achievement we have some specific expectations of our students
-We expect our students to be safe,
responsible and respectful at all times.
-We expect them to be enthusiastic,
proud, invested and have character.
That said, I ask for your support and participation in this effort by:
-Sending your student to school
every day, on time.
-Encouraging your student to read at
least 30 minutes every evening.
-Monitoring your student’s homework.
-Asking your student to share what they
learned at school each day
(don’t take “nothing” as an answer).
We have great expectations as we open Ridgeview. We welcome this opportunity to create a school that will serve students and the community well. We look forward to walking with you through this year and making Ridgeview High School one of excellence.
Remember, it is a GREAT day to be a Raven!
